Back in March we discussed the possibility of a major earthquake around 16 September in California, based on some simple calculations.

You can read the article here: The next earthquake ?

Clearly it didn’t come true, but there were a few significant earthquakes around 16th September. Check out the list of significant quakes in 2011

On 15 September there was a 7.3 earthquake near Fiji. Apart from the March Japan quakes this is the 2nd strongest earthquake so far this year.

And on September 18 there was a 6.9 on the India-Nepal border, which ranks among the highest death tolls this year.

Measuring the distances: the India earthquake was ~5300 km away from the Sendai quake epicenter, and ~11000 km from the Fiji earthquake.  Similar distances as the ones found in our earlier article.

To continue this excericse: if we again add 189 days to 16 September then we find 23rd March 2012.

Possible places? Following the known major fault lines, 5500 km from the India quake we pass through Turkey, and 8700 km away we are in the area of Morocco, Spain and Portugal.

Let’s see.

Romans are fleeing their city, because an old prediction that was reportedly based on planetary alignments.

Somebody just sent me this video.

It repeats parts of what I posted earlier today. Some interesting observations about fish and animals getting lost in an area before an earthquake.

In the recent year several big earthquakes have made the news.

Most of these quakes happened in the Pacific Ring (Ring of Fire) and seem to proceed in a clockwise manner.

Below is a little map, which brings up the question if an earthquake is now due next for California or Mexico, in order to complete the circle.

It is well known that a big earthquake is being expected for California. It is also known that earthquakes beget earthquakes, because shocks in one area can put things in motion elsewhere in a connected system.

The first big quake was in Haiti, 12 January 2010. The damage was enormous.

46 days later an even bigger quake happened in Chile (27 Feb 2010).

189 days later a 7.1 earthquake struck in New Zealand (4 Sep 2010).

And now 188 days later there is the disaster near Sendai, Japan (11 March 2011).

Some people will say that the recent earthquake in Christchurch (22 Feb 2011) killed more people, but this was considered an aftershock of the Sep 4 quake. This afterhock came 171 days after the original quake in the same area.

Now, the first thing we can observe here is that all these time intervals are very close to multiples of 9.

46 ~ 5 * 9

189 = 21 * 9

188 ~ 21 * 9

171 = 19 * 9

So these 5 earthquakes have come on a 9 day rhythm.

I also noted how Christchurch and Sendai are almost equal distance from Haiti. Measuring with Google Earth I found 11060 km and 10720 km respectively. And the earthquake in Chile happened about 5700 km away, close to half that distance. If another earthquake next happens near California , it would also be ~5500 km away from Haiti.

Next I measured the vertical distances connecting South to North. From Christchurch to Sendai is 8720 km (8700 between the epicenters). Going from the place of the quake in Chile up North along the Pacific Coast one comes right to San Francisco after 8720 km. Same distance.

If a next quake happens there after 189 days, then it would come on 16 September 2011, give or take a day. This will also be the week that marks the 10th anniversary of the Sep 11 2001 attacks.

Personally I suppose all this will be too perfect to work out in practice. Patterns of great symmetry only work till they disappear again.

But anyway, if a major earthquake happens in that area around that time, then you read about it here first ;-)

Whenever we have disaster of this magnitude, every form of astrology always comes up with some kind of explanation for it.

The Western astrologers will point to Uranus that entered Aries yesterday, or to the extreme Full Moon we will get on March 19.

Vedic astrologers will still find something else, since they don’t use Uranus. Poor rahu and ketu may get the blame, or Saturn..

And in 9 ki/feng shui we can blame the 5 star.

I think this is because people struggle to comprehend such destruction, so any explanation will do to comfort them that there is some reason or explanation for it.

But realistically? Let’s have a look.

We can say that Japan is in the East, but from that perspective half of the world is in the East. And a person in Australia finds Japan in the North, and somebody from California will fly West to go to Japan. So? On a global scale direction is completely relative.

If we take a map of Japan itself,  then the area where disaster struck is the North-East of the country. And seen from the capital Tokyo, to city of Sendai is actually to the North.

We can see that many directions come into play, depending on the perspective we chose. And as soon as we find #5 in one of those directions we can blame it for the problem. Even if #5 had been in the West we could have blamed it too, because the direction opposite of #5 is also believed to be bad. So it’s almost guaranteed to ‘work’, all we need to do is shift our prespective till we are in a direction where we can blame the #5, or #2, or even #1 (water -> tsunami).

I think astrology/metaphysics would do itself a favor by taking a good look at this.

Why can we always explain events after the facts, no matter what form of astrology we use… ?
